Sometimes referred to as a connection "coaxial 75 ohm," making this type is commonly used for carrying signals from antennas and other sources outside the home to components with some kind of tuner, such as cable boxes, HDTV tuners, VCR, satellite receivers, TV, etc.. A 75-ohm coaxial cable can transmit information from video and stereo audio simultaneously. However, as a way to make a connection between components, RF is less than composite, S-video and component video. RF cable connectors (often called connectors "F") is screwed into the outlet of 75 ohms, or are connected to pressure.

There are different types of coaxial cables. The standard coaxial cable has the stamp 'RG-59 "; cables of higher quality" RG-6 "have better insulating cover and less loss of high frequencies over longer distances. (For the connection of DBS satellite systems is essential to use RG-6 cable for all digital signal passes correctly).

Resolution essentially measures how many pixels there are on a screen. The higher the number of pixels, the sharper and more detailed an image the screen can produce. You'll often see this spec expressed in two figures, such as 1024x768 (which means the set has 1024 horizontal lines and 768 vertical lines of pixels).

But remember that just because you have a screen with a high resolution doesn't mean you're always going to see high resolution images. Your source signal (such as the TV signal or a DVD) needs to be equally high -- you'll need a high definition TV signal playing on a high definition resolution screen to get a true HD experience. In fact, normal analogue signals may even look worse on high res screens because they can expose the poorer signal's faults.

The resolution is shown in the bottom right hand corner of the settings window as shown below. These are the horizontal and vertical resolution and will usually be one of the following:

800 x 600 - SVGA (Super Video Graphics Array)

1024 x 768 - XGA (eXtended Graphics Array)

1280 x 1024 - SXGA (Super eXtended Graphics Array)

Choose a projector which matches the resolution you want to use.
