Optical Coating ultimately creates the colors in your projected image. One reason is to minimize the amount of reflected light behind the lamp, and the amount of ambient light that passes when leaving the lens focuses light to prevent light penetration for optimal picture quality . Generally good coatings can add 15% or more of a gloss to the lenses. Other coatings are used to filter colors. |
