A / V (Audio / video inputs)

Acronyms audio / visual or audio / video is A / V.

Using the direct input of A / V from a TV to connect a DVD player, VCR, camcorder or other video component allows the picture and audio quality improved, compared with the use of a single multipurpose type RF antenna input . (If your TV is so old that only has RF inputs type, that is reason enough to consider replacing the normally-DVD players do not have an output RF).

The more expensive a multimedia projector is, the more input/output ports it's likely to have.

The inputs of A / V rear are used for components that are normally left connected to your TV. The inputs of A / V front allow you to connect and disconnect quickly and easily by a video camera, a second VCR or a video game console.

Some video and data inputs will provide better signal qualities than others. Available input types include Computer (RGB or M1-DA), Composite video, Component video, S-video, DVI..  Some projectors can also output audio or video to another external source such as a video monitor or external speakers. Some projectors allow for additional functionality such as screen triggers and remote mouse control.
